Ustasa

Ustasa
Loosely translated as “to stand up for the homeland,” it was the name of the nationalist and anti-Semitic political organization that ruled Croatia from 1941 to 1945. During this period, Croatia served as a German satellite state. The Ustasa was responsible for the murder of thousands of Serbs, Jews, and Gypsies.
