Thousand-Year Reich

Thousand-Year Reich
In Western culture, a thousand years is referred to as the millennium, which in some Christian denominations represents a “Golden Age” or Paradise on Earth in which “Christ will reign” prior to the final judgment. This belief is derived primarily from the book of Revelation 20:1–6. Adolf Hitler envisioned that the Third Reich would last a thousand years, but it lasted for 12 years (1933–1945).
